1. Product-specific information takes priority
Always read and keep the manufacturer's instructions, warnings and labels before assembly or use. Product-specific instructions and limits take priority over the general information on this page.
2. Compatibility and checks
- Check dimensions, caravan rail or vehicle compatibility, attachment points and all stated load limits.
- Check fabric, poles, frames, straps, fittings and bike carrier components before every trip or setup.
- Do not use safety-critical parts that are missing, cracked, bent, badly worn or corroded.
- Use only compatible replacement parts and accessories approved for the product.
3. Assembly and transport
- Follow the prescribed assembly sequence and use all required poles, guy lines, fittings, locks and safety straps.
- Never exceed the maximum load of the vehicle, towbar, drawbar, roof, bike carrier or product.
- Distribute the load evenly, secure loose parts and recheck all fittings before departure.
- Have assembly or repairs requiring specialist knowledge carried out by a qualified person.
4. Weather, ventilation and fire safety
Monitor changes in the weather and take the product down or secure it further if wind, rain or snow limits may be exceeded. Prevent water or snow from collecting on the fabric. Never use a barbecue, open flame or unsuitable heater inside or close to an canopy or tent. Ensure ventilation and follow all carbon monoxide and fire safety instructions.
5. Children, storage and maintenance
Keep small parts, cords, pegs and chemicals out of children's reach. Let the fabric dry completely before long-term storage. Clean products only as instructed and regularly check tension, fittings, seams and corrosion.
6. Damaged products and recalls
Stop using a product immediately if it appears unsafe, becomes faulty or damaged, or may be subject to a recall. Do not dispose of it before the issue has been assessed. Where possible, keep the product, packaging, order number, model or serial number and photographs.
7. Reporting a safety issue
Email support@kampland.store with the product name, order number, model or serial number and a clear description. If there is immediate danger, stop using the product, move people to safety and call the emergency services if necessary. Where required, details of the manufacturer or EU responsible person are provided on the product, packaging or accompanying documentation.
